I've been playing Mortal Kombat since i got my hands on the 1st game and I'm still playing the series even up to today and this mini series is so cringey AF. For me the only thing i liked were the video quality which is rather clear and the sight of some familiar faces; but everything else suffers such as the plot of awesome characters we love made more "realistic" that it takes away the old much more creative in-depth lore the series is known for and the actions scenes arent even special, not well coreographed, not brutal enough and entertaining like the games. The worst episode being the one about Raiden who instead of talking about his past and his experience with the older tournaments as the Thunder God leading to the latest one, we got instead a stupid, pointless episode in a mental instutute trying to make you have feeling for a guy who just popped out of thin air with crazy wards who like doing senseless interrogations. The only decent episode being with Johnny Cage as it fits his character rather well but no Ninja Mime Johnny though my fellow fans. Do i still recommend it? yeah sure cause its free but even if you arent a veteran like me you'll be laughing and cringing of how this mini-series has been handling an awesome title. So much potential if they only found the right people to portray the characters accurately or closely enough, had made way better costumes, followed the lore accurately and had at least 30 mins. minumum to give each major character proper justice regarding their origins. Better off watching the 2 classic cheesy Mortal Kombat movies then this mini-series i tell you or better yet play the games until Mortal Kombat 9.. Interesting but kind of corny. Seven-Of-Nine is in this from star trek voyager.............she looks old in this...............real old................ruined my memmory of 7 of 9the only really GOOD episode is RAIDEN as its very smartly done while the others are just terrible
